How to build it

  1. Survey the alcove: measure the width at the top, middle and bottom and use the SMALLEST; check both walls for plumb and the ceiling for level.
  2. Cut every member from Sheet C-02 board by board, then write its part ID on each piece in pencil so nothing gets mixed up.
  3. Set the plinth rails (P-01) on the floor, shim them perfectly level and fix them to the back wall.
  4. Stand the vertical dividers (C-01) on the plinth to form 3 equal bays of 849 mm; fix each one to the back wall through battens or brackets.
  5. Mark the base-cabinet top at 760 mm and fit it across all bays.
  6. Fit the 5 shelf tiers (S-01) - fixed shelves on battens, or adjustable ones on 5mm shelf pins.
  7. Fit the top crown / scribe rail (P-01), scribing it to the real ceiling line so there is no gap.
  8. Add the face frame and cabinet doors, fill, caulk and paint.

Tools: Mitre / circular saw, Drill-driver + impact driver, Spirit level (1200mm / 4ft), Tape measure, square, pencil, Scribing compass / block, Caulk gun.
